Football crazy!

I have so many cards to make this week, but today I've really struggled. Only made the one and that is for my nephew and I needed to make it as it is his birthday tomorrow! But as for all the others I need to make, apart from watercolouring a couple of images that's it. Hopefully I will have a better day tomorrow or else I'm in trouble, oh and Kim from the shop has phoned with another order!!!

Anyway here is the card I have made for my nephew, who is a Liverpool fan, and had a football party at the weekend

he is 9 and now getting awkward to buy for so my sister said oh just give him money he'll like that! So apart from a couple of packs of 'gogos' (don't ask) that he collects, he is sadly getting money. He's already been studying the argos book to see what he wants depending on how much he accumilates!! So I have made another of my Envelope Gift Bags, yes this did start out as an envelope! Decorated with some football backing paper and had a sticker from a party pack so have mounted that on foam pads to give a bit of dimension, he can then use the sticker for something if he wants to!

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 3

Our 3rd challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar is to use the recipe 3-2-1. Make your card using 3 Brads or buttons, 2 Patterned Papers & 1 Flower. Remember you can used any Sugar Nellie or Rachelle Anne Miller stamp and this week there is a chance to win a gorgeous Sweet Ebony stamp.

Bright and beautiful

Well maybe not beautiful, maybe more bright and cheery, that's the card I have done following the sketch over at Friday Sketchers and also covered the 'In the wild somethings' challenge from Stamp Something this week!
Sorry the picture is a bit dull, but it was a grey wet old day yesterday and I couldn't get the light right!
I have made another card but can't show this as it's my A Spoon Full of Sugar DT card for this weeks challenge! So you will have to wait until Tuesday for that one, hope to see you there, and there is chance to win another fabby stamp ;0)
I took the Holy communion card to the girl at the shop, and picked up another order!! A little thinking needed for this one, not only is it a christening but also 1st birthday, I have an idea of what I am going to do, so will be doing that in the next few days! Also mentioned I could make gift cards with a pocket for money/vouchers etc she thought it was a fab idea and said yes please straight away, and was there any way I could print the vouchers for the shop to!? Now that one is a challenge, but will see what I can come up with! Then she mentioned christmas cards, i.e. 1st christmas and said she was doing a christmas fair in November so the gift cards and christmas cards will be great for that!! What have I let myself in for!??! No it's all good and it's something I enjoy.
Then on top of that I get an email from my friend with a list of 8 cards and a gift bag she would like for this month, 4 cards for Fathers Day! She has very specific themes for her cards to, so nothing easy, none of my stamps ggrrr.........!! I have my own Fathers Day cards to make, that's 3 for Matthew from the girls (they may be colouring in stamped images themselves or drawing pictures to use!) then I have his birthday the following week!!! Luckily I made my dad's card and Matthew baggsie'd the gardening glove for his dad so that's 2 done!!!!!!!
and NOT a single card made this weekend! Yesterday was baking day = 9 sponges, grocery shopping, then finish tiling the en-suite. Today after breakfast I painted the mosaic tiles twice with a colour intensifier, they are a natural stone, various shades and this brightens them up loads! Then after lunch, Matthew has gone out gardening so I have painted another section of the outside of the house, not too much last time I painted my arm ached so much I had to have the heat bag on it twice during the night, how very unfit am I???? When he gets back we have to grout uugghh... hate this part!! So now off to make the moussaka for tea.

Christmas already!!!!

Yes I have made my first christmas creation today!! Christmas is the theme of the latest Cute Card Thursday challenge! OMG I am usually a late starter where these are concerned, but knew I had a few images and a couple of pieces of tartan paper on top of my cupboard! So here is my card, well money/gift card wallet as it has a pocket on the inside! We give Matthews nephews money at christmas as they are way too hard to buy for, so guess I will need to make another one at some time!

The next card is for my friends son, he will be 8 so went for the football theme, using the Spurs colours as that's who his dad supports so assume he does to, I know his dad took him to the Spurs grounds a few weeks back so fingers crossed heh!

and lastly for today is the 'holy communion' card for the order I picked up yesterday. Just simply ran the card through the printer then matted and layered the bible, so lucky I bought it at the same time as the tuxedo's and dresses for the previously shown cards!

Wedding thank you's

Today I have completed the card order I got from the lady at the shop for a customer who is getting married soon. Originally thought it was just going to be 'Thank you's' for 4 bridesmaids but when she saw my examples she ordered 2 for the mums, 2 for the ushers and 1 for the pageboy to! They really didn't take long at all once I had the printing all lined up! Here is the female example that I have made to put up in the shop (the owner asked for an extra 1 to display so she could show customers what else was available)
and the male equivelant, I could only get red or yellow ties so went for red, and the blue backing was requested!

When I took them in the shop, the owner wasn't there, the assistant told me she had sold some of my cards earlier, and placed an order for a holy comunion card for her brother, good job I ordered that bible!!! I am going to use both cards as my entry for this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge which is to use die cuts!!

A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge 2 and a couple more cards!

Yes it's that time again! Our 2nd challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar is a colour theme for your card/make, the colours are pink+blue+green and you can use flesh colour and a hair colour! There is also chance to win another fab stamp donated by Debbie. So here is my card, I love this stamp it reminds me of when my cousin and I used to play dress up when we were much much younger, we used to put on little shows and all sorts!!!

The following card and I must admit my favourite for today is my entry for the latest sketch challenge over at Friday Sketchers. I have used a Penny Black image (for a change) that I received this morning along with a lot more lovely images from a swap I did with Julie over on the CM&PC forum. This is also my entry for the current A Time to Craft challenge which is to use brads/eyelets, well I've only used 1 brad and that's the yellow flower in the centre of the purple flower!Another card using the Friday Sketchers sketch!

Lillie had her first ballet lesson after the exam today, and she passed with a 'Highly Commended' which is the highest they can score, which is brilliant. They haven't received their medal and certificate yet they are still being prepared!

A few makes to show!

I liked the card I made for the Stamp Something challenge so much that I made another card using the sketch, this time using a different colour scheme and image. This is my sisters favourite of the 2 but I still like my pink 1! I came accross the next card 1/2 done in my storage box a few days ago, I hadn't coloured the image at all! I just couldn't get the colouring right especially on the rabbits face though, could be the fact that it was an image I stamped before I started using watercolour papers!? Still it'll be given to someone, maybe one of the girls friends!The followning is my entry for the Tilda & Co challenge which is to make a 'non card' item, so I have made a cover for my post-it note pad, and I must admit to really really liking it a lot, I think it's just how well the papers, image, colours all work so well together.I've mounted Tilda on foam pads to give a bit of dimension and also added foam lettering and some gems to finish it off.
My final card for this post is a request from hubby for a card for his nephew who turns 16 today, he's a bit like the Harry Enfield character Kevin the teenager, not really into much except drinking and smoking with his mates (yes under age I'm afraid, but that's the case with a lot of teens these days). Crikey when I think back to the sweet little boy who used to want to play or wrestle with Matthew when I first met him 8 years ago, it makes you realize how fast time passes by!


Well it was back to school today, YIPPEE!! and NO problems with either of the girls! I am so proud of Hollie (3 1/2) bless her, I know I wrote of all of the tears and trouble getting her to stay when she first started, and she was up first and dressed first this morning, I asked her what she wanted to wear for Nursery last night and after a bit of thought said her school dress, bless her, they don't have to wear uniform but that is what she chooses!
