The Sugar Bowl -cowgirl

Here is my card for the Sugar Bowl challenge, I have used my rather neglected cowgirl stamp, to be honest the image has been part coloured for weeks, just didn't know what colour to do the scarves, flowers etc. Then I saw the sketch, chose my papers and coloured them to co-ordinate! The extra we had to use/do was zig-zags so I got out my decorative scissors and zig-zag cut the blue panel down the middle.

Christmas blues

I am on a roll at the moment another 5 cards made yesterday and 2 today, I'm loving it!
This card covers 4 challenges :
1) One Stop Craft = snowflakes
2) Just Christmas & Birthday = sketch
3) Papertake Weekly = christmas cracker
4) Whiff of Joy = christmas.
I was so lucky to win this WOJ image from Katharina's advent candy last year, and hardly used it, but have used it quite a bit this year. It made a change to colour this image in blues, as I have been colouring it in pinks, green and brown up until now.
I was naughty the other night as when I saw that WOJ have a sale on their winter stamps I just had to go and grab a couple!!

Charisma Cardz - christmas

Good morning, it's Charisma Cardz time again, and this week we would like to see all things 'christmas'. An extra easy theme this week, as I am sure if you are like me it's all christmas cards and makes at the moment!
For this weeks challenge I've made some Snowman Soup! Hubby is doing the annual christmas fayre at the garden centre next week, and last year I made some of these snowman soups up and they were quite popular, so I've had a little production line going!! Hubby makes christmas logs with candles, I don't bother with my cards as I tried them a couple of years ago and sold a whopping 3 cards!!
here is a close up of the poem
For prize details and to take a look at the fabulous festive creations from the rest of the girls please pop on over to the blog.

A Spoon Full of Sugar -challenge 79

Good morning, it's time for another challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar and we have a colour challenge this week = brown and either blue or pink.
Knowing exactly what papers I was going to use I went for the brown and pink option, using my freebie forever friends celebration stamp! Yes I have coloured the bird with a red breast, but I have made this card with mother-in-law in mind and as her birthday is the 19th Dec I thought a little robin would look quite sweet! The stars around the image aren't part of the image but when I was colouring the sentiment with my peel-off pens there were these stars on the same sheet, so I coloured those and dotted them around! We are sponsored by Whimsy Stamps who have kindly donated one of the new Chrissy Armstrong stamps called Jolly Puppy Kisses for the lucky winner! There is also an added extra for everyone this week and there is a 10% voucher for Whimsy Stamps for all of our readers, just nip to the blog for the code!!

I am also entering this card for the new Sketch and Stash challenge which is obviously the sketch I followed! Still amazed that I won last weeks challenge!

Marshmallow does D.I.Y.

Wow where is the time going? At least yesterday Matthew and I dropped the girls off at mum and dad's and headed off to finish our christmas shopping, and yippee we did just that!! Any thing else we get now will be extra's!
Well I've had this little card sitting made on my desk for days now and have left it until the last minute to enter it into the Papertake Weekly challenge which was to use the sketch provided.
Here is another card that has been made for days, originally made for the Friday Sketchers challenge (obviously a sketch) and the Colour Create challenge which is 'red/green/white' with the addition of christmas. Pollycraft have posted their new challenge which is also christmas so how lucky was that, especially as I have once again used the Friday freebie santa.
Oh and I had a lovely surprise this morning whilst going around the blogs to check out the new challenges. I won the Sketch and Stash challenge for last week 'woo hoo'!!!!

Charisma Cardz - my sketch!

OOPPSS................ I went on a food hygiene course yesterday re work and was gone all day (not sure how I got on, we had to get 20 out of 30 questions right, I'm a little worried but as I said 11 is a lot to get wrong!).
Anyway this post SHOULD have appeared yesterday, so apologies girls. But as they say 'better late than never'!
Here is the sketch that I have designed for this weeks challenge, it can be flipped, rotated, added to, as long as the original sketch is still visible. As I said on the blog it would be great for a scrapbook page which I would've made but I just couldn't find the right picture!here is my card using my oh so favourite christmas stamp, I've sure gotten my moneys worth out of this one!!
We have a fab Cute Daisy May prize for one lucky winner, and the girls have all made beautiful creations using my sketch. To see them and more details re the prize please drop by at the blog.
Have a fab day.

Under the weather

One Stop Craft are asking us to make 'gifts/bags or use images' well I couldn't resist making one of my bag-a-lopes!! For a change I used a coloured envelope, I just sealed it down and cut off the end! ~I combined this challenge with the one over at My Time to Craft which is 'under my umberella' by using my Anya image, I wrote the 'under the weather' sentiment. and here is the bag with it's contents! Could also add some throat sweets, but I didn't have any!
and here's the view of the back, just to prove that it is an envelope lol!!!

Well it sure is windy here in Norfolk and we had a power cut this morning for 2 hours! I missed an hour of it as I popped into the supermarket and then went to see Lillie's school assembly which her class were doing. As it's anti-bullying week this was their theme and Lillie and her friend Lily were news readers lol!! I tried to take a couple of piccies but I was quite a way back and haven't uploaded them as yet! The power came back on 5 minutes before I had to leave for work, so I managed to get on my cafe on Facebook just in time to serve some food lol it's soooo.... addictive!!

A Spoon Full of Sugar -challenge 79

Good morning and it's time for another A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge, this week we would like you to make something for a 'first christmas or pre-schooler'.
I went for the pre-schooler option and used this fab father christmas image which was sent to me last year (forgive me not sure if it's WOJ of Sugar Nellie!). The papers are a mix of old and new and the gems were a birthday gift which my friend Sally sent with my card, bless her!
We are sponsored by our very own Nikki of Bunny Zoe Crafts and she has very kindly donated the super sweet and fun Flapper Anya stamp for the lucky winner. To see the stamp and the wonderful DT cards please drop by at the blog.
Apologies for the piccie of my card being at the beginning and not after the challenge details, just that I can't seem to get my image to move when I'm using my laptop!!??

Scraplings!

Daring Card Makers have a fab challenge on at the mo. and it's called 'scraplings' where they ask us to make a card/tag etc with the scraps of card we cut of when making another project. If I use an A4 sheet of card to make a square card I always end up with a strip which I cut off and occassionally made bookmarks with but otherwise they just get shoved on the pile, to be used for layering or used with punches!
Well I just loved making this little card so much that I made another!!
this one I am entering for the Cupcake Crafts challenge which is 'digital images' and I've once again used the Pollycraft freebie from the other week! The image would've fitted on the card the other way up, but I kind of like the effect of it being higher than the base! (The card is red, the white is just the background).Hollie (4 nearly 5) saw me making these and decided that she would like to make some to, she made one for Lillie, one for daddy and one for her half sister who was with us for the weekend. I didn't get one :0( lol!! (I'm not sure about the mouths that were drawn ont the images, but she didn't do them Lillie did, would've looked better pink or red me thinks!).

Super quick cards

I think I made these 2 cards in about 5 minutes flat yesterday!
When I was in Morrisons yesterday afternoon buying my newspaper I spotted some cutie father christmas gift tags 2 for £1 so I got 2 packs, not for pressies though, yep for some quick cards!! I simply removed the string, stuck him on the card with 3d foam pads and covered the hole with a gem dah dah.....!!!
here are the tags in the pack! Not fantastic but they will do for the girls to send out! and getting to this stage close to christmas I need quick cards lol!! But I do think this santa is a cutie!!

A session with Pollycraft!

Well not the actual blog, with the images!!! Freebie ones at that!!!
First up is my entry for the Pollycraft Monday Challenge 'no cards allowed', so I've made a sour cream container out of free papers from a magazine I've just bought, and simply topped it with last weeks father christmas image! This is quite a nice size, I used the whole page, so nearly A4 it will hold quite a nice little pressie or lots of choccies!!!! My mum who likes my cards but isn't keen on the images I use, she says they are too child orientated, has asked me to make 14 of these to give to each of the ladies who go to flower arranging with her, they are having a little christmas party and she is already out with work so will miss it and wanted to give them a little pressie! Then I loved this weeks freebie image so much that I have made 2 cards using it, and will be making many more!!
This one I have used the sketch from Friday Sketchers.
and this one I have used the Sketch and Stash sketch again! (Don't know if you can enter the challenge more than once but I'll give it a go!!

and here is the fabby prize for one lucky winner!

On a roll!!

I am making the most of being in a creative mood and trying to get more crimbo cards made and they fit challenges which makes it all the better!!
First up is my card for Just Christmas & Birthdays who's sketch I have followed. Next is my card which qualifies for 2 challenges
1) Papertake Weekly - Digi sparkle (my image is a Pollycraft digi freebie! and I've glittered the snow for the sparkle).
2) My Time To Craft - Tags so Much (the tag has Happy Christmas on it which you can't see on the piccie.
Finally, for today anyway, is my card for which I've used the sketch from Sketch Saturday but not having anything oval I cut the image out, hope that still counts!
inside view of the pocket card, where I have popped some images in the pocket, this could easily hold a gift card or money etc!

A Spoon Full of Sugar -challenge 77

At A Spoon Full of Sugar this week we would like you to 'make a scene' on your card or project.
I have used the Friday Freebie background scene from Pollycraft (a few weeks back) coloured the trees with markers, sponged the sky and added glitter on the snowy bits, then added the Pollycraft image with foam pads so she stood out a bit. I must admit I think this is at the top of my fave christmas card makes so far!!!

Our sponsor this week is Summer from Belles and Whistles and she has kindly donated the oh so cute 'rockin around' rubber stamp which is one of Elisabeth Belles fabulous new releases! Please check out the rest of the girls cards on the blog as they are utterly wonderful (nothing new there then!).

I am using my card as my entry into a couple of challenges to! Cupcake Crafts - Snow Much Fun and Cute Card Thursday - Primary Colours (I've used 2, red and green).

Another easel card - oh I love them!

I have made my second easel card and I just love it! I've had this portly Father Christmas chipboard sticker sitting on my desk for the past couple of days just begging to be used, then today when I saw the new Sketch & Stash sketch it was perfect. So I combined the sketch along with the One Stop Craft - cards for kids challenge and of course Secret Crafter who wanted easel cards!! Everything on this card is from my stash which has been there since before last christmas, the stickers are from a pack I bought from Poundland last year (glad I got a couple!) sadly they only have ones like gift tags with to and from on them this year :0(a side on view of the easel effect Lillie (l) went to London with her friend on Saturday to see Disney on Ice Princess wishes, lucky her she has better days out than me lol!! So yesterday she made a card for her friend and her mum to thank them to asking her to join them. Not wanting to be left out Hollie (r) made a card for her best friend.
