3 challenges 1 card and birthday wishes

I made this card for the My Time to Craft challenge which is 'Mice and Easy' well I wouldn't say it was that easy as this image is decoupaged, and a bit of fiddly cutting out was required! This is also another entry for Just Christmas and Birthday Cards as I have used their sketch. I have also come accross a another challenge blog that I didn't know off called This Thursday they have challenges, tutorials, looks good, their challenge is called 'Something with Whiskers'. I am so pleased with this card, the balloon backing paper mathces the colours of the image perfectly and the ribbon looks pretty good to!
It's my eldests 6th birthday today so HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILLIE
Here is a picture of her when she was 2 (I don't have any digi pictures of her until then!) the picture was taken before I took over the hall with my desk and crafty bits!!!
This is her now, well the picture was taken back in February just before she went out with her friend Lily for her 6th birthday!! My hubby doesn't like this picture as he thinks she looks like a hussy and far older than she is!!!Bless her she wanted me to rag her hair last night so it was all curly for school but we just ran out of time. She only opened a couple of cards and 3 presents this morning, one of which was her new High School Musical backpack which she has taken to school. I made plain buns topped with chocolate and a button (sweet!) for her to take so they could all have them at snack time! She isn't having a party, instead we are going ten-pin bowling followed by something to eat, her friend Lily is coming with us to. Quite looking forward to it even though I've not been for a long long time and am not very good, should be fun!

Charisma Cardz -challenge 2 - Fantasy

We had a fantastic response to our first Charisma Cardz challenge last week, we couldn't have asked for better. The cards we saw were all wonderful, shame there can only be one winner, check out the blog to see who it is!
This week Leanne set the challenge of 'Fantasy' and what a challenge it was!! My mojo wandered off for a few days over the weekend and beginning of the week, and I wanted to get this made so I was ready for the challenge. The image is actually decoupaged (4 layers) not that it shows in the picture, it is one that I have had in my files for a long time. It think it's kind of fun and like I said to the other DT girls it reminds me of 2 things, a song that is or has recently been in the charts that has a bit which goes "I can't keep my hands out the cookie jar, cookie jar" and Kat and Darnel from the last series of Big Brother's 'cookie love'!! We have another fab prize this week which has been kindly donated by Sammi of Crafty Muse and is the Princess Amber digital download, 7 different images for you to colour and use.

I am entering my card for this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge as I used their sketch.

LOTV - Dutch Dare combo and a Giggle!!

I've combined this weeks Dutch Dare challenge which is a colour scheme of Green, Blue and Brown with the Lili of the Valley sketch made by Donalda and made this atc. I used to make and swap a lot of atc's but haven't done so for a long while, so this made a nice change and the sketch was just perfect. I think the image is a Penny Black, I received it in a swap, I wasn't sure about the bit around his neck so have coloured it as if it's a scarf?!
Then the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday is called 'Have a Giggle' I had some images I thought would be perfect for this but could I find them? No, nowhere! I received this image in a PIF not sure if I could ever be cheeky enough to send this card to anyone, so it could sit in my box for a long while!!! (Maybe SIL will get it for her birthday Lol!) The sentiment, which reads 'It's your birthday, so let it all hang out' was printed onto the bottom of the image from the computer, I printed it onto a piece of paper then using repositionable glue stuck the image on top of where the sentiment had printed trying to line up where I wanted it to appear and ran it through the printer, I had 1 chance and wow perfect positioning!! I've used the sketch from Just Christmas and Birthday cards . Back later with my 2nd DT card for Charisma Cardz.

A Spoon Full of Sugar -challenge 34

Our challenge this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar is 'Paper piecing' I have been lacking enthusiasm to craft for a few days, but made this card at the weekend thank goodness. I think this is one of the challenges I suggested and then I struggled with it, silly me!!
I am rather pleased with the final look of the card just a little unsure of the stamping I did on the background of the image? This was the first time I had used my 'Rope swing' stamp that Matthew bought me for christmas, it's one of Elisabeth Bell's designs for Sugar Nellie's, I so love Elisabeth's work. I'm contemplating buying the WOJ stamp kit, it would be one weeks cake money but I think it will be soooo... worth it!!
The Design Team now have the chance to choose the Guest Designer each week, and this week it was my turn, my Guest Designer is the super talented Chris - Sketching Stamper, I so love all of Chris's work and her colouring is amazing! Please nip over to the blog to see Chris's and all of the other Design Team cards, you won't be disappointed.
The prize this week is a very cute High Hopes stamp called 'Lovebirds' just perfect for upcoming Valentine's cards! This has kindly been donated by Bryony over at Silly Monkey Crafts.

Mojo - If found, please return!

I just can't find the enthusiasm to create anything today :0( I've gone through the challenges that I'm yet to enter, and started to make something but have abandoned it as nothing I do looks right?

So all I have today are a few blog candy alerts, as follows :

Bev is celebrating a whopping 100,000 hits to her blog with a fabulous candy. See here

Sally is celebrating 2 things, firstly it was Sally and her hubbys 39th wedding anniversary on Saturday (past) and also getting 1500 hits to her blog which has only been running 6 months. See here for details

The very talented Elisabeth Bell has her first blog candy of the year and fab it is to! Go take a look here for all of the details of how to enter.

Well I am now off to find a film to watch with my girls. Hollie went back to nursery today and made no fuss at all, she was excited to be back, and came home with a party invite which made things even better!! Lillie on the other hand has been off of school today. Last night we heard a bang on the ceiling but thought nothing of it as the girls are always jumping in and out of bed, usually Hollie getting in Lillie's for a 'story', however the bang was followed by Lillie crying and calling us, which we now ignore as it's become something of a habit. Only to find her sitting on her bed in a pool of sick (sorry) so there was me giving her a shower and hubby stripping her bed at 11pm last night. I asked her if she had fallen out of bed and she said yes, she had some marks on the side of her face (gone today) and said her leg hurt! This morning she looked pale and said her tummy hurt, also her shoulder and side, she hasn't eaten anything yet today so she must be ill! She also has a fairly big bruise on her left hip, apart from a quick dash to the loo she seems a lot brighter now, so should be back to school tomorrow.

Back tomorrow with my A Spoon Full of Sugar card (good job I made it at the weekend!)

WOJ made my first christmas card of the year!!!

It seems ridiculous that I have made a christmas card already, and I know I'm by no means the first person to do so. But I wanted to make a card using the lovely sketch over at the Whiff of Joy challenge blog, and you have to use a WOJ image. Sadly I only have 1 of their stamps that I was lucky enough to win in Katharina's advent calendar in the run up to christmas, and a few images that I was kindly sent. If anyone could kindly help me out with some more images that would be wonderful. The papers were from a new pack that I got in the sale at the Range when I went with my mum on Monday, the brads were also a sale purchase and part of a mini embellishment kit that match the paper perfectly.
So here is my card, I haven't followed the sketch 100% as there wasn't room in the bottom right to add my greeting, hope this still counts!? Now I think the card is a little plain and maybe I should have faux stitched or doodled around the edge of the image?
