Get Well Soon pictures by my girls

Hubby's mum is very poorly at the moment, she is not only fighting secondary cancer for which she has started aggressive chemo for, she has also got fluid on her lung which is effecting her breathing badly.  She was taken into hospital at the weekend as her breathing had gotten so bad.
She had 1 lung operated on a year or so ago and now it's the other that's filling up, therefore needing the same operation doing on this one, but with having the chemo they can't do it at the moment as her bloods are all over the place.  It's so sad to know she is in so much discomfort.  Matthew went to see her on Monday evening and said she looked a poor thing lying in bed with an oxygen mask on.  We are keeping everything crossed that she can fight this again (she got over breast cancer a few years ago).
The girls made pictures for daddy to take to nannie, I thought I would share them with you :
Lillie made a vase of flowers (as we weren't sure if you could take real ones to hospital yet or not)
and Hollie used some Beatrice Potter die-cuts that I have had for ages, she coloured the background scene and then used the die-cuts and stickers to finish off!

Charisma Cardz - Fancy Folds

Good morning all, I can't believe we are almost at the end of half term, ugh that means back to the school routines and work again, mind you we are nearly doing the school routine at the moment!  Hollie is doing a swimming crash course and that starts at 9am (no rest for the wicked!).

Well onto the main reason for this post and it's new challenge time at Charisma Cardz, our theme this week is Fancy Folds.
I really enjoyed making this card, the 'Boofle' die-cuts are so blinkin adorable!!  I made the card for one of Hollie's friends whom she had been friends with since nursery and has now moved away to a new home and new school, it was so sweet she received her very own mail yesterday addressed to her from her little friend saying that she missed her but that it is nice where she is!!

Still easter!!

Just in time to class this as easter!!!!
Here is a felt egg decoration that I made, I had the actual front decorations sewn for weeks but only got around to finishing the putting together of the egg a few days ago lol!  I've quite impressed myself with the ruched checked ribbon part, just don't like the stitching that I've done around the edge, wish I'd used a blanked stitch but wasn't sure how it work around the ribbon!
Here is my youngest having her easter breakfast yesterday!
the cake I made to take to my parents as we always spend easter Sunday there along with my sister and her family.
my easter bunnies, and Jacobie the dog!!
I hope you all had a lovely easter bank holiday weekend, shame about the poor weather.

Charisma Cardz - Easter

Good morning, last night was fantastic, Mcfly were amazing as always but I'll post some pics etc later!
Today is the start of the new challenge over at Charisma Cardz and the theme is very appropriately 'Easter'.
I took inspiration from issue 98 of Quick Cards Made Easy mag.  This is the only easter card that I've made this year, I've cheated and bought some!!!  The image is decoupaged so stand nice and proud, and that cupcake looks super yummy!
As I always say (but it's true!) we have fab sponsors offering our winners some great prizes so please pop over to the blog and join in.

The wait is almost over!!!!!

for tonight I'll be singing my little heart out!
it's been a couple of years since I last saw my boys, and I really cannot wait!

we are seated on row 'M' it's the closest I've been, only disappointment is we are Tom side of the stage and he's my least favourite.  Danny is my fave closely followed by Dougie (current king of the jungle!).

Charisma Cardz -Alter It

Good morning, as you can see I'm back up and running again, the laptop had an extended stay as I was out when they tried to deliver, but has come back with a new hard drive and 'ac' adapter.  Seems to be ok so far!!!

It's time for a new challenge over at Charisma Cardz and this weeks theme is Alter It.
So I got to cutting up one of the girls old school dresses (notice the paint stains around the bottom, ha you'd think the paint they use in school would be washable wouldn't you?!).
here are a couple of flowers that I made, the 1 on the left is made with 1 strip of material twisted and hot glued onto a felt cirlcle. The 1 on the right is hand sewed using 5 circles cut from the material, a small bit of lace to fill in the middle and a button to finish, again with a felt patch on the back.  These both have brooch pins on the back so can be worn as a brooch or attached to a hairband!
and here is an example of a hairband (Hollie has gone to school wearing this one this morning!).  The 2 blue 'flowers' are made from material from a pair of outgrown pyjama bottoms!!

Please check out the blog for sponsor and prize details, which as you know by now are always fab!!

My poor laptop is poorly again, and has gone on holiday to have a new hard drive fitted (I think that makes it the second in a year!).  I must overwork the poor thing lol!!!!  A week without it, what will I do?  If I get severe withdrawal symptoms I'll just have to stoke up my old desktop but will need to switch that on in the morning just so that I can use it that evening, yes it's that slow!  So I'll see you all in a weeks time!
Don't forget there's a new challenge on over at Charisma Cardz, so why not check that out and have a go?  I'll be honest I bottled out this week, first time I've done that, but masking and using 3 different stamped images scared me big time, suppose I should've given it a go, but honestly haven't inked up any of my stamps for weeks, maybe even months, I'm seriously considering having a big sort out and selling off a lot of my crafty goodies because I just don't have the mojo for it like I used to.
