A Spoon Full of Sugar -challenge 88

Good morning, time for a new A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge and this week we are going 'Freestyle' so anything goes, you can make anything you like with any or no theme!! Easy peasy!
I actually made a couple of 4x4 cards both using the same layout, the Hannah Montanna is a bit more recycling, I used a gift tag that I got from Tesco's last week (10 for 19p) a mix of papers from my new DCWV christmas pack and some gems. YES I have made my first christmas card!! The card on the right is using a cushioned sticker which came in a pack from Poundland and the papers are from Paper Cellar. Hollie gave this card to her little friend at school as a thank you for the present that she gave her (I had originally bought the stickers for the girls but thought I could get use out of them myself lol!!).Our sponsor this week is
and Tracey has donated 5 digi images from the store as the prize for 1 lucky winner.
Don't forget this week you can do anything you like, please check out the blog for the rest of the teams wonderful cards you won't be disappointed!
Here are the cards pictured individually :
(well one of them!! still can't seem to move pictures around in my posts when using my laptop? so have just accidently deleted the other piccie and if I add it again it will get stuck at the top of the post?).
I am entering both cards into the Sketch and Stash challenge as I have used their sketch!
Well that's it from me, I've got hubby home from work at the moment as he has pulled the muscles in his neck and shoulder, which would make driving a skip lorry a bit of a pain, so am now off to make him some breakfast. Then it'll be work time for me before long!

Charisma Cardz - Fruity colours

Good morning all, it's time for a new challenge at Charisma Cardz and Vee has chosen the theme of 'fruity colours' with the option of using fruit on your creation if you wish!
I remembered that I had this gorgeous Sarah Kay image which was just perfect as I think it's the only thing I had with fruit on, this is such a lovely stamp to colour to. I chose the colours green which could be apples/kiwi's/grapes etc and purple for plums! I really like this colour combo, and I just love the flowers to, they were a big reason why I went for these colours!~Now I had a bit of an ooppsie whilst making this card, I got it all stuck down went to pick it up to put the holes for the brads to go through and the seam was at the bottom ooppss...!!!!! Hence a quick change of style and it became an easel card lol!!! (not a good pic as the flash went off but you get the idea!).
For prize details and to see the wonderfully fruity creations of the rest of the design team please pop on over to the blog.
I would like to enter this card into the Sketch Saturday challenge as I have used their lovely sketch.

A Spoon Full of Sugar -challenge 87

Good morning, we have a new challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar and the theme is 'Lots of Layers'.
I have one again used the Greetings Farm 2010 image, and 5 layers of dp including the image! Not sure about the background of the image, I sponged it with both brown and green ink as it would've been too white! Our sponsor this week is our very own Nikki of Bunny Zoe Crafts and she has kindly offered the winner a personalised stamp of their choice. Have fab is that, shame I can't enter, I really have been meaning to get myself one of these for ages!!
The girls have produced amazing examples for you to see so don't forget to go check them out!

A couple of recylcled cards!!

Well I say recyled cards, the toppers that I have used are the recycled part!! This first card is for the Truly Scrumptious challenge which was a sketch and I even managed the extra which was to use the colours pink/green/black. The Hello Kitty image was part of the wrapping of a flannel that one of the girls received for christmas, I kept it as I knew it would come in handy!!!and this card is made using a Hannah Montanna tag which came attached to a pair of boots that the girls had (unfortunately I think the other tag got binned!). I have used the sketch from Papertake Weekly and as Hannah Montanna aka Miley Cyrus is a pop/rock star I thought I would see if I could get away with entering it for the Secret Crafter musical challenge!
Hollie wrote on this card for Lillie for her birthday as she is a Hannah Montanna fan, she loved it!

Birthday girl and party pics!

It was my eldests 7th birthday yesterday, where does the time go? Here she is with her very own digital cameraunfortunately she could only take a few piccies before the batteries run dry! Us bad parents hadn't checked the size of the batteries needed and assumed they were AA's which I had already charging up in my charger ooppss..... no her camera needs AAA's!!!!
We had a joint party for her and Hollie as with Hollie's birthday being 2 days before christmas you can't really do anything. We hired the hall and booked a disco for them. Everyone had the most enjoyable time, the disco was fab they kept the children entertained from start to finish, and as you can see from the piccie below the snow machine's went down brilliantly (as if we hadn't seen enough snow, but at least this wasn't cold not dangerous!!)
this next piccie is of my mum demonstrating to the children how to do the YMCA not sure which one of the village people she was meant to be lol!! There were 5 other mums dressed up with hats, glasses etc so glad I didn't get roped into that one!!!
and the party girls with their not so exciting cakes! My mum said they were the only disappointing part of the party! I really should've made them myself but the time and will to do them wasn't there! I had made tray bakes and iced them topped off with jelly tots which we cut and wrapped for the children to take home, as there was no way we would get 20 out of each cake! We did hot dogs and chips with jelly and strawberry whip for dessert and it was very successful, see working in a school kitchen came in handy lol, we had hardly any waste that you usually get with a buffet and it was a lot less work! (Perhaps hubby and I should set up a children party catering company lol!!)
within about half an hour of getting home this was my baby girl sound asleep on the settee! Bless her she had been poorly the day before, I was up with her on and off all night, she had such a temperature, a sore throat and a headache. So I made sure she had all of the doses of medicine that she could have throughout the day in the hope that she would be feeling a bit better for the party. I was so pleased when she got up feeling a lot perkier but still said she had a bit of a headache, but she had fun at the party and danced and joined in with her friends which was a huge relief! Bless her I think it exhausted her though! She's fine today!
So that was it, the once feared party was a big success, in my nephew's words "it was the best party I have ever been to!" and he's been to a LOT of parties!!! He said his best part was when the balloons came down! Matthew and his dad had made a make shift balloon net and we filled it with 160 balloons which I must've blown 100 of up and the net release worked a treat!
Perhaps we'll do it all again someday! When Lillie turns 18 lol!!!

Charisma Cardz - 'New'

Good morning and it's time for a new challenge over at Charisma Cardz, this week Leanne has chosen the theme of 'New'. This could be new year, new baby etc or simply use something new on you creation.
I have once again used the fabby 2010 freebie from The Greetings Farm blog (not finished with this just yet!!), my new are : the card blank, I had to stock up as I was running low so that meant a trip to The Range after christmas where I managed to bag a few goodies in the sale!! Also the pips, and the ribbon are new.We are sponsored by Bee Crafty and the winner can choose 3 digi images from the store. To see the girls fab 'new' creations please drop by at the blog.

I have combined my dt card with the Just Christmas and Birthday challenge which was to use the fab sketch provided. Now although it says neither christmas nor birthday, it was in fact a birthday card for my friend who's birthday was actually on New Years Day so I thought the image was perfect, a celebration of a birthday and new year combined!

A Spoon Full of Sugar - recipe

Good morning, time for a new challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar and this week we have a recipe = 3 designer papers, 1 ribbon, 3 flowers and 3 buttons.

We are sponsored by Wendy aka Louby Lou and she has kindly donated the following gift certificate for the lucky winner.
The girls have as always made some beautiful examples so please don't forget to nip to the challenge blog to check them out.

Charisma Cardz -colour combo

Good morning, firstly I would like to thank everyone so much for joining in with our very successful blog hop to celebrate Charisma Cardz's 1st birthday, apologies for not getting around to blogs to comment, I'm still getting back into the swing of things since the festive break!

The winner of my hop candy is JULYE B

Right, onto this weeks challenge which is a colour combo of pink/brown/toffee/cream.
I've only made a couple of thank you cards and a DT card over the festive period and to be honest they were a struggle, as my mojo seems to be buried under the snow lol!! Seeing that I had my charisma creation to make I sat at my desk and wondered what to make. Then I remembered that I had bought some 2010 calenders so created a calender, I used the basics of an easel card, but instead of adding the whole front panel I just added the image so that it stood proud! Isn't the image fab, it's a freebie to!! from the Greetings Farm blog (thanks for heading me to the blog Zoe!).
here is a side on view, CHEERS!!!
For all blog hop candy winners and challenge winners please see the blog.
I have also combined our challenge with the one over at Papertake Weekly which is 'new beginnings'.

A Spoon Full of Sugar -challenge 85

Here we are back with our first A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge of 2010 and our theme is 'HEARTS'.
I decided to make a scrapbook page as I had this picture of the girls printed and ready to do something with. The girls had a photoshoot in Hollie's bedroom just before we turned it bright pink and disney princessy over the christmas/new year break!!
I have used the sketch from Sketch and Stash for my scrapbook page, all of the papers are from my stash, the gems and of course the photo are new. Would you believe hubby bought me a new printer for christmas because mine didn't print correctly and was getting me soooo.... frustrated, anyway after a bit of playing about, my old printer now prints perfectly!!! Guess I now have a spare lol!! He also bought me a Wii Fit Plus but we have been way too busy to have a play with that at the moment :0(
