Charisma Cardz -challenge 6

Our challenge for this week at Charisma Cardz has been set by DT memeber Sharon (who is now a permenant member of the team) and is the theme 'Cupcakes or any other cakes'.

I have used one of Sally-Ann's cupcake download images and have paperpieced the bun case to match the backing paper. We used to have bun cases like these a long while ago, but now they are just boring old plain white ones! Then as I bake cakes every week for a tea bar, yesterday I thought I would make some cupcakes to go with the card!

We have a 2 part prize this week, we have the cupcake download from Grab-a-Doodle-Do kindly donated by Sally-Ann. Also a pack of 'silver shadow effect Sakura Pens' which have been donated by Angel Crafts. Wow a fab prize me thinks!!

Why not pop over and get some inspiration from the rest of the design team, take a look their cards are fabulous!!

Here are the cupcakes/buns that I made, the ones with the tops and butterflies have jam and cream in for extra naughtiness!! I must admit they tasted as scrummy as they look, needless to say they didn't last long at all!!

Who said blue and green should never be seen?

Whiff of Joy have a recipe this week 3,2,1 = 3 papers, 2 flowers, 1 button/brad.
I have used this gorgeous image that was stamped for my by Jacqui, a different colour combo for me today, no pinks!! I really like it and will be doing more like this that's for sure.
I've also used the sketch from Papertake Weekly I've just added the flowers in the corner instead of a 'corner'.

A Spoon Full of Sugar -Challenge 38

Our challenge this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar is called 'Doodle Doo' we would like to see some doodling on your work, this could be faux stitching, swirls etc.
I doodled around the edge of my image this super cute little p.black hedgie was sent to me in a swap. I also doodled the word 'so' before the special which is a peel-off, the greeting is pc generated. The 2 circles on the top left of the image are the bits I tore away from around the layers of my rosette! I figured the girls could give this to grandad for fathers day (I know I'm a bit ahead of myself but at least it's done). We have a fabulous prize of PCS Kiki Kitty stamp set which has kindly been donated by Bryony from Silly Monkey Crafts. Our Guest designer this week is Heather wow her cards are gorgeous, so to see her card and the rest of the design teams gorgeous cards pop over to the blog and check them out.

Now this card also covers not 1, not 2 but 5 challenges this week!! So here goes :
Dutch Dare - Love theme - no red or pink!
Lili of the Valley - men
Secret Crafter - recycling (the button)
One Stop Crafts - circles (the rosette = 3 + the button and the 2 circles top left of the image)
Just christmas and birthday - I used the fab sketch!

Time for a PIF candy

Yes it's that time again!! Over christmas I received a wonderful christmas themed PIF package from Monika (Creativcorner), now it's my turn to 'Pass it Forward'
So if you would like to receive a PIF candy from myself, which will definately include a selection of images, you have to be one of the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post. You have to have a working blog, and when you have received my PIF you then have to put up a post on your own blog and do your own 'pass it forward' to your first 3 commentors and so on, make sense?!?

Sketch Saturday card

Here is my card for this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge, a nice easy sketch to follow, I love working from a sketch but sometimes if there are lots of layers or elelements I find them a little daunting. This one was fab, the 2 patterned papers are a free download from Crafts Beautiful all you need to do is register! I did no crafting at all over the weekend and spent hardly any time on my pc, can you believe that!? Lillie my eldest is being a real pain at night-time, calling out to either me or Matthew and if we don't go she eventually comes into our room making a load of fuss. She wants a dvd on (they have a dvd on to go to sleep with) this can be 2am 3am and can go on for a couple of hours, we get 1 good night out of about 3. I was in and out with Hollie for 2 1/2 hours during last night as she has a old and coughed non stop until she exhaused herself and went back to sleep.
Anyhow after a lay in on Sautrday we went shopping, then after lunch and all afternoon was spent clearing my craft space, OMG what a job!! I had a unit next to my desk with numerous carrier bags and envelopes of stash stuffed beside it, then a stack of storage boxes with stuff on top, and also had to clear the book case as that was being moved! Matthew was in the room making up my 3 new storage units to go back in the space. I am still sorting stugg out, and swear I still don't have enough room for it Lol!!!
My sister invited herself, her boys and mum and dad round for tea last night to, the cheek of it!! It was nice to have them all over and we made a bit of space in the freezer but cooking up some of the party food we had bought and not used over christmas. Still got loads so need another couple of get togethers to clear it all up! My sister left before Dancing on Ice came on mum and dad left after it finished, wow Ray is fabulous, I loved him in X-Factor but he is a whizz on the ice, I can wait to see him skate each week!

A few piccies from yesterday

After thinking the snow had gone with it clearing all barr our snowman on Wednesday, we woke yesterday to a winter wonderland, yes at 5am when hubby opened the curtains his response was "oh bl**dy lovely"! The roads were white and he had to go to work, he drives an HGV for a skip hire company. I phoned the school and yep it was shut again, so we had a bit of a lay in, then got dressed and went outside for some more piccies.
A ready made snowball!!
Lillie's snowball in flight!Posing in the snow! with the remainder of the snowman we made on Monday in the background! Then in the afternoon Lillie asked if she could do some cooking with me, ugghh... I can't stand the mess they make, but thought it would keep them busy for a while. Here is Hollie forming her dough, and Lillie beating her mixture.Hollie with her cheese scones, and they tasted better than any I've made before!and Lillie with her melting moments, they both rolled the mixture in the oats and added the cherries whilst Hollie's scones were baking. This morning I rang the school and they were open, so off we went treading very carefully through the patches of remaining snow and slush. It was drizzling, then not long after I had returned home it looked as though it was raining with the occassional snowflake, then it turned to snow and it fell quite heavily, it settled even though it was wet. When I arrived at nursery to pick Hollie up one of the assistants laughed at me as I looked like a snowman/woman, the snow had settled on my hat, coat and scarf!!! After getting Hollie rugged up for the walk home, we went and collected Lillie as they were allowed to leave early if we wished to take them, I did as if it kept up all afternoon it wasn't going to be too nice when it came to picking her up at 3.10pm, would you believe it stopped after lunch and we've not had anymore yet!
