Cute Card Thursday celebration card

It's birthday celebrations over at Cute Card Thursday this week, they are 1 year old!! There are 5 wonderful prizes up for grabs to, but I'm sure competition will be fierce!
This is the first time I have used this Magnolia stamp, but thinks he's kinda cute, ideal for boys cards, and the sketch is great, another that will be used again!

Dressing up for comic relief

The girls got to dress up for school today, the theme for nursery was 'royalty' so Hollie went as a princess, Lillie's class had to dress funny for money so she wore her clothes the wrong way round and I gave her a wacky hairdo (about 12 pony tails which haven't been quite pulled through therefore making a loop!)Lillie's class are going to the big site where they will be able to join in with competitions, biscuit decorating etc, so she's gone with a purse full of 10 and 20p's!!
I made some buns for them to sell to!

Looking forward to watching some of the fun on the tele tonight, especially the dancing!

Charisma Cardz -challenge 10

Wow I can't believe we are at challenge 10 already at Charisma Cardz it certainly doesn't seem like 10 weeks ago that we went live, how time flies heh!?!

Anyway this weeks challenge is called 'One for the Boys' this can be any age from Grandad to baby just to make things a little easier!

My card didn't take too long at all as I had already got the Bella fella image coloured up! I did a 'z'fold (I think that's what they are called? where you fold the front of the card back on itself) the bit that took the longest was rumaging around hubby's shed to find some embelishments lol!! I found these washers (think that's what they are!) and thought they would work a treat!!

A really rather pink card!!

Here is my card for the new Whiff of Joy challenge, which is to use the sketch provided. At first I was a bit worried as to the various different layers of papers but once I started to lay my card out it looked ok, doesn't it?

A Spoon Full of Sugar -challenge 42

This week at A Spoon Full of Sugar we have a sketch for you which has been designed by dt member Michelle.I've actuallly done a bit of recycling with my card!! Yes all of the gardening bits and bobs are from an old card Matthew had for his birthday! I knew they would come in handy lol!!! I also use a few scraps of the paper to decorate the inside but forgot to take a piccie, the card sort of tells a story where you fork the ground, then use your trowel to do your planting, water then the plant starts to grow, inside were a little piccie of a bunch of carrots and peas in a pod!!Our prize this month =

A couple of cards, some cupcakes and some daff's

First up is my card for the Forever Friends challenge this week which is to use the fabby sketch provided. Such a simple little card think I'll be making a few more like this!

My 2nd card is for the Colour Create challenge which is yellow/green/orange, what better than another of Chris's (sketching stamper) daffodil download images? The backing paper is from my new Papermania spring time pack, which qualifies my card for the Cupcake Crafts 'spring' challenge to!!Our garden is full of mini daffodils (prefer them to full sized ones!) hubby said yesterday he couldn't believe how many there were, we must plant them and forget!!!Yesterday we visited hubby's mum and dad, it's his dad's birthday tomorrow so we took his pressies and cards. We were expecting his brother and family to be there to so I made some cupcakes for us all to have with a cuppa!! We got there and they weren't there, they were seeing them today instead!! Still his dad will enjoy eating them (he likes my cakes) and his mum is a diebetic so doesn't cook too many sweet things these days!!
We couldn't believe how freaky the weather was, we arrived and it was nice and bright, after lunch whilst sitting in the room all of a sudden it got a lot darker and it poured and the wind was making it hammer at the windows, there was hail to!! Then within about 20 minutes it brightened up again as if it had never happened. Then just before we left it started hailing again! We followed the blackest sky I think we have ever seen all the way home, to the right of us the sky was so bright but infront and to the left was just black, we kept going in and out of heavy hail and rain. We were so pleased to get home again!
