Charisma Cardz - Summer

Good morning, it's time for a new challenge over at Charisma Cardz and this weeks theme is 'Summer'.  

I tried something new for my card re inspiration from one of my crafty mags.  I've made a pinwheel which actual goes around!!  It's attached to the card via 2 pennies, it's not the smoothest of motions but it's ok for a first attempt!

Charisma Cardz - Travel

New challenge time over at Charisma Cardz and this weeks challenge is 'Travel'.

For my card I have used a cutie die-cut topper from Lili of the Valley and colour matched it with my papers.  For an added bit of texture I scrunched up the grey layer and then opened it up and stuck it down, the bottom of the card was a little bare hence the addition of the 3 contrasting buttons!

Charisma Cardz -NO Flowers!

Good morning, Thursdays seem to come around soooo blinkin quickly, almost another week over!  Soon be christmas lol!!!

It's new challenge time over at Charisma Cardz and this weeks theme is 'NO FLOWERS' and we all know how much we love using flowers on our projects, but it is do-able by using brads, gems, ribbon, lace, buttons etc or a simple choice is to make a male card  ;0)

Here is my card, very simple, the topper is decoupaged and I think kinda cute!

Charisma Cardz - Pink & Girly

We have a new challenge over at Charisma Cardz and this weeks theme is 'Pink and Girly' ~ easy peasy!!!!

I've made another card in the same style as the one I made for the fancy folds challenge.

Morning all, time for a new Charisma Cardz challenge and it's colour themed this week, so we would like to see Blue, Black and White creations.

For my card I literally used scraps of papers that I had lying around, you know the ones that you cut off of a sheet of dp when making one card and toss to one side in the hope that they'll get used at a later date!?  That's also the same for the car decoupage, I've had that sitting around my desk for years (no joke!!) I've just never seemed to work out how to use it on a card, until purely by chance I saw it, laid it on and thought that's it!!!  I kinda like it, just a shame the 40th birthdays I've got coming up are female lol!!!

P.S.  We received the very sad news that Mum-in-law passed away at lunchtime on Saturday.  We've had lots of tears, but we're holding it together, as you have to.  I've got my mums birthday on Sunday and have to go shopping for that and then seeing her on the day will be hard for my hubby, but he said last night "I've only got 1 mum now" bless him.  In truth she is in a better place now, she has suffered for a long time now, which started to get a lot worse since the beginning of the year.  RIP June xx

Get Well Soon pictures by my girls

Hubby's mum is very poorly at the moment, she is not only fighting secondary cancer for which she has started aggressive chemo for, she has also got fluid on her lung which is effecting her breathing badly.  She was taken into hospital at the weekend as her breathing had gotten so bad.

She had 1 lung operated on a year or so ago and now it's the other that's filling up, therefore needing the same operation doing on this one, but with having the chemo they can't do it at the moment as her bloods are all over the place.  It's so sad to know she is in so much discomfort.  Matthew went to see her on Monday evening and said she looked a poor thing lying in bed with an oxygen mask on.  We are keeping everything crossed that she can fight this again (she got over breast cancer a few years ago).

The girls made pictures for daddy to take to nannie, I thought I would share them with you :

Lillie made a vase of flowers (as we weren't sure if you could take real ones to hospital yet or not)

and Hollie used some Beatrice Potter die-cuts that I have had for ages, she coloured the background scene and then used the die-cuts and stickers to finish off!

Charisma Cardz - Fancy Folds

Good morning all, I can't believe we are almost at the end of half term, ugh that means back to the school routines and work again, mind you we are nearly doing the school routine at the moment!  Hollie is doing a swimming crash course and that starts at 9am (no rest for the wicked!).

Well onto the main reason for this post and it's new challenge time at Charisma Cardz, our theme this week is Fancy Folds. 

I really enjoyed making this card, the 'Boofle' die-cuts are so blinkin adorable!!  I made the card for one of Hollie's friends whom she had been friends with since nursery and has now moved away to a new home and new school, it was so sweet she received her very own mail yesterday addressed to her from her little friend saying that she missed her but that it is nice where she is!!
