Well he was yesterday anyway!!! He popped a parcel through the door and I had guessed it was some goodies, but hadn't ordered anything so just thought it was my prize come early from Quick Cards Made Easy as I have a letter and piccie of my girls with the easter cards they made going in the next issue woo... hoo.....!! But no, when I opened it I found a Joanna Sheen triple Victorian companion cd set a wooden stamp of some flowers, 2 packs of rub on transfers (love and bon voyage themes) a pack of congratulations embelishments and a pack of gorgeous flower embellishment (orchids) how fab is that? From Beautiful Cards, they had asked for cards for their letters page months ago and mine is now in issue 22 which is out now!
So today I took the girls shopping for new coats and bits for school, got a bargain 2 coats for £18 should have been £28 each!!! I love a good bargain!! A pair of tracky bottoms and jeans for myself (busting out of all of my clothes, I HATE it!) and then the flowers for mum and a few bits for dad's tea's, not that he isn't capable of getting something out of the freezer and doing it for himself (he used to be a chef in the forces many many moons ago!) just wanted to make sure he wasn't just having bread and butter and a lump of cheese! Mum managed to drag herself out of bed and sit with us for a while but was itching to get back to bed as she was so uncomfortable and she did manage to drink some milk but still no food, she loved the card which now sits on top of the tele.
Anyhow looked all round town for the Beautiful Cards mag couldn't find it anywhere, actually found 1 in the shop round the corner from our house. Nearly passed out when I saw it was £5 but luckily it wasn't sealed like a lot of the others and I could flick through it as I was itching to see what I had actually send as I had forgotten! And there it was my 'Budgie' card, I thought to myself glad I didn't buy it just for that!! But I am more than pleased with my prize so may just have to send some more cards in.
