3 challenges and a bit of dressing up!

I made this card yesterday for the Whiff of Joy challenge, which this week is a sketch designed by Heather, the image is one that Jacqui very kindly sent me so that I could join in with the challenges as I don't have any of the stamps myself. and oh my goodness how gorgeous are they, I just loved putting this card togetherthe following card is for todays Cute Card Thursday challenge which is 'buttons and bows' and also for todays Lili of the Valley challenge which is 'enchanted'. Not actually a stamped image but a die cut so I hope my card counts! I've actually had them since last year can you believe that, all I did was add a few sparkles and added it using foam pads to my triangle card which is made using 3 squares of card, the corner of 1 side fits through a slot to keep it together.Today is 'dress up' day at school and the children have had the chance to go in dressed as a person from any nationality, it's 'World Foreign Languages day' or something like that! I didn't want to 'have to' go out and spend a load of money on dressing up costumes and my imagination wasn't that good to put something together, so last weekend mum found my indian dress that I wore many many years ago when I used to perform in the village pantomines! All I had to do was add the brown leggings, just to keep Lillie's legs warm, and last night made the headband which she loved!! and here's Hollie in her little outfit which when I bought it off of ebay it was being advertised as a traditional singapore airways air-stewardess's uniform!! It does have a 'singapore collection' label in it, can you believe that, how tiny are these ladies??? I think Hollie looks adorable and loved posing for the pictures this morning!
and here are Lillie and Hollie posing together. I've printed this picture on A4 photo papers this morning and it is just gorgeous!!
and finally Pass the Penguin!
I have just picked up this little penguin from Rach. October is breast cancer awareness month so feel free to add him to your blog and raise awareness. My MIL found a cancerous lump 5 years ago luckily she has beat this awful disease but I know others aren't always so lucky. So pass the penguin on to raise awareness. 'Squish a boob, save a life'.

Wooo Hooo..... I've passed the 10,000 mark!!

Yep big Wooo Hooo's... last night my visitors counter was at 9,995 to my disbelief when I looked this morning it read 10,033 and OMG just before adding this post it's at 10,071. I seriously can't believe it, I am overwhelmed and thrilled that people take time out to have a read and look at my makes. I am sorting out some blog candy and will probably put something up around the weekend/next week and it will coincide with my upcoming birthday, so don't forget to pop back!

My friends middle son Jack is 5 today, she asked me at the weekend if I could make her a couple of cards a Ben 10 one for Jack and Bob the Builder for Ben who is 2 next week. So after a spot of 'googling' found the perfect images and set to work. I printed both images twice so that I could layer one with foam pads just to stop it being too flat.
Ben's Bob card
Jack's Ben 10 cardand the footy spring card that I made from us! Kay was thrilled with the cards, we popped round with the present and our card this afternoon, can you believe we bought him a red formula 1 remote control car and what was his cake? Yep a red formula 1 racing car!!! How spooky!!!

For my card I used a super cute H&S image sent to me from my dear friend Lim, these images are so lovely to colour, still patiently waiting for Sugar Nellie's to get them!
Remember you can use any stamped image you like, and it doesn't necessarily need to be a card, just keep it pink and green! If you need any inspiration just take a look at the rest of the girls wonderful cards and of course don't forget to check out the super cute prize!

This card is for this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge and I would sooooo....... love the WOJ stamp that's up for grabs!! Although it doesn't show in the picture the snowman has once again been highlighted with glitter and I soooo..... love this image, it's by Serendipity and I got it from the Joanna Sheen website.

Lili of the Valley meets Milo!

It's challenge no.2 over at the new Lili of the Valley challenge blog, and it's a sketch by Nikki (Tink), this is what I came up with for the first few weeks you don't have to use just LoV images etc you can use any stamped image, 3D sheet etc I had this Milo image on my desk waiting to be put together with foam pads which I thought with the backing paper and a bit of swiss dots it was perfect for the job. I don't normally add greetings/sentiments on the side but as this was part of the sketch thought I would hand write nephew and give it to either Jordan or Ethan for christmas (well it wouldn't be easter would it??)

I actually made the card yesterday, no cards made or crafting for me today as I've been baking. I've made 11 sponges, some sausage rolls and with Hollie a bit down because Lillie had gone to Nannie and Grandads for a sleepover on her own we decided to make some chocolate chip cookies!!

Christmas Trees and a Princess

This weeks challenge over at Daring Cardmakers is called 'King/Queen for a day' and you are required to show a crown or tiara somewhere on your card. It was ideal as I had this card sitting on my desk I had the basic spring card made and was stuck for something to attach to the front and thought I would try one of these little princess's which I've had made up for ages, she seemed to fit perfectly, I added the greeting and when I know who the card will go to I will add the age on the left hand panel.
My next card is for the My Time to Craft challenge which is 'Trees and Leaves' I've gone for trees and made another christmas card using my church stamp again, I just love how all you have to do is add a little glitter to make it look like frost and heh presto it's done! The layout is one if you've noticed I use a lot from My Paper World, it's so simple but I love it!I've had a productive day and made a few more cards but will show them tomorrow.
